A pioneer in the field of digital arts and innovation, GIFF has presented a program of immersive works since 2014, which has become competitive since 2016. This section showcases immersive works from around the world presented as Swiss, international or world premieres.

Creators, producers and distributors are invited to submit their digital and immersive works (in virtual reality – VR, in augmented reality – AR or mixed reality – MR, grouped under the heading XR – extended reality) for GIFF’s 2021 festival. The works submitted will be considered by the Festival’s curators who will select those that will feature in the 2021 program (Nov. 5-14, 2021).

The works will be eligible for the International Immersive Works Competition and the Festival’s converging sections (out-of-competition) with a prize worth CHF 10,000 offered by the City and State of Geneva and awarded by a jury of international experts.

Submission for immersive and digital works are now open.

Deadline: August 17, 2021.

To submit your work, please create an account on the online platform MyGIFF. Select “Registration Forms”, then “Submit an immersive work” or “Submit a digital work”.
