Hybrida AiR is an art residency program in Älvsbacka, in the west of Sweden, which will take place from 9th May until 26th June 2022.

Program offers seven artists a chance to work on new individual projects, alongside each other, during six weeks on location in Sweden. The outcomes are presented in a two-week-long exhibition at the end of the residency.

The residency will take place in May and June, and will last six weeks. The program includes remuneration of approximately 2500 euros, plus production budget, travel, accommodation, food and freight.

The curatorial theme for 2022 is [capture].

What does it mean to 'capture' an image or a feeling nowadays? What does it change when that content is always present and is governed by algorithms and viewing stats? In which ways do the digital media affect how we paint a landscape, how we choreograph, and how we transpose matter, words and ideas? Does the essence of capturing something evolve in parallel with the interfaces in which the content is implemented?
