(3661) ORFEO is a multimedia performance by the ARGOS collective, formed by the Laboratorio de Luz of Universidad Politécnica of Valencia, the PDP11 collective, the NoDOS(3) group, and other artists.

(3661) ORFEO is an Apollo asteroid whose eccentric orbit crosses that of Mars, Earth, and Venus. It is a small star that, like a shining star, longs for moments of glory.

(3661) ORFEO is an ancient Greek legend of love, loss, and temptation. It is the story of a musician and poet who could tame wild beasts. Some of his most memorable feats were saving the Argonauts from the Harpies, the Cyclops Polyphemus, and calming the waters at the passage of the Symplegades, among others. However, he could not recover his love, Eurydice, who after being bitten by a snake succumbed to the depths of the underworld.

(3661) ORFEO is a performative proposal focused on the voice, where everything arises from the depths of the vocal cords. The sounds intermingle, generating rhythms, tensions, and attractions. They transform into images showing all their sensory capacity, and they tell stories of love, loss, and triumphs.

(3661) ORFEO is a proposal presented as a result of the research project of the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación identified as PID2020-116186RA-C32.
