Project showcase
Duration: an hour
Saturday, 15 April 2023 | 15:00 > 16:002023-04-15T15:00:00.000Z | Stage 2
Hi, I am Dominik (domj), a multi disciplinary artist and software engineer, here to present:
Schéma is a multipurpose framework and visual authoring tool aimed at physical and virtual AV installations - I call it an Integrated Creative Environment.
Interface with light fixtures, Arduinos, OSC, generate visuals, audio and more. Use standalone or integrate via source into vvvv gamma projects.
It offers an experimentation friendly live environment with fast scene, behavior and interaction authoring.
The interface combines elements from visual programming, VJing, light console tools with a number of innovations such as visual controller feedback. In general I am aiming for a game like feel with instant feedback where you can get lost in the creative experience.
I have been working on this tool since 2019. It has been used in a number of public projects - installations, clubs, performances and countless small experiments, see https://schema.scenic.tools/gallery/ for a taste.
The tool is open source https://github.com/domjancik/scnq-schema and built from the ground up using vvvv gamma (VL) - it is a visual programming tool, itself made in a visual programming tool!
Find out more at http://schema.scenic.tools
---
This presentation will showcase Schéma itself, the philosophy behind it and the user interface and case studies.
If you want to try it for yourself ahead of them, head over to https://domj.itch.io/schema and get yourself a pay-what-you-want copy!
Or just catch me during/after the talk

- Hi!
I am Dominik (domj), multi disciplinary artist and software engineer.
I love to make technology kiss until it explodes in experiential glory.
Also I dig learning and sharing knowledge, so don't be shy ;)
You can see some of my work over at domj.net
I've also made a little multimedia framework called Schéma - and what do you know, I'll be showing it off here in LPM https://avnode.net/performances/schema
