"Visualization of cells, the fundamental unit of life, harmonizing with the prehispanic aesthetics and macroscopic and microscopic forms of alive beings... IN BIORITMO ... A VISUAL VITAL ETER". / vj XilemConformed in 2005 by two old friends: the biologist Roberto Canales (Vj Xilem) and the comunicator/designer Roberto Montiel (Vj Ben-K). Bioritmo (Biorhythm) arises from the respect and admiration for the alive beings, especially those pertaining to the kingdom plantae, the most necessary and essential for the life on earth. Bioritmo is only one of several projects that already they have prepared together, relying of the knowledge of other one. “…We Believe that the participative investigation research and the enclosing projects that there include authors of different disciplines are and they will be always more consistent, but only if we are aware of the cultural, economic and spiritual values of our country, everything inside a framework of ecológical sustainability…” Bioritmo is a mexican visual collective that uses technology (hardware, software, microscopes, telescopes, midi devices, etc.) to show the greatness of nature, but also supports and relieves in a nationalism that is not in the September 16th (independence day) or in the bleachers of the football fields; but is visible in the ancestral traditions, in the originary people, in the Stones that show us symbols and history, in trascendental wisdow, in the arts and the crafts. Bioritmo tries to pulsate at the “beat” of the land and in his expresión make a tribute to the universal movement. / Vj Ben-K.
