The current cultural zeitgeist seems to revolve around the concept of integrating darkness and light: the reconciliation of oposing forces in a harmonious unit. Escatological myths are extremely popular these days, some forming the basis of fringe cults that long for a return to an undifferentiated, primordial state; The Ubermensch archetype, central to fascist ideologies, envisions a New Man, capable of the loftiest achievements, and at the same time in touch with their basest instincts, remorseless, untouched by morals.

Likewise, The Chinese concept of yin and yang describes two opposing and, at the same time, complementary (completing) aspects of any one phenomenon (object or process) or comparison of any two phenomena.

In a sense, all my recent work revolves around these themes. In the new collaborative effort with MHV I´ll try to make more coherent and evident the correlation of the Ketzal-Tlipokka archetypes in our collective unconscious.

El clima cultural de nuestros tiempos parece estar saturado por el concepto de la integración de opuestos; lúz y sombra,, la reconciliación alquímica de fuerzas divergentes en la unidad armoniosa. Los mítos escatológicos también son extremadamente populares estos dias. Algunos de ellos forman la base de subculturas que anhelan el regreso a un estado primordial unificado. El arquetipo del Superhombre Nietzcheano --central en las ideologías fascistoides--vislumbra a un Hombre Nuevo, capáz de las acciones mas nobles y a la vez en contacto con sus instintos más básicos, sin codigos morales. Un salvaje civilizado.

El concepto de Ying/Yang, proveniente de la cultura China, describe del mísmo modo dos aspectos opuestos y al mísmo tiempo complementarios de cualquier fenomeno, objeto o proceso.

Ketzalkoatl y Texkatlipok parecen estar unidos por la cadera, dos lados de la mísma moneda; un mísmo principio activo, actuando bajo dos identidades al mísmo tiempo. żacabó el Quinto Sol con la caida de Mexico-Tenochtitlán? żO tendremos el privilegio de presenciar el inicio del Sexto Sol? Tal vez el final del ciclo actual sea marcado por la unión final de estos eternos enemigos
