Generative Cellphone Visuals-- Processing for Android

This workshop covers methods of programing generative visuals in Processing (a Java based authoring environment) and deploying it onto an Android mobile device (celphone, tablet, etc). Downloading and running the SPK and API for Android and Processing will be discussed, as well as technical issues such as canvas size, processor power, optimal framerate, and external display capabilities of mobile devices.
The mobile device is an HTC EVO, with 1080x760 HDMI output mirroring using the Full HDMI application by SAM BERRO. Authoring environment is a MacBook pro with 4gigs of ram with 2.5 MHZ processor.
