Sara Ayman is a multimedia artist, Holds BA in Applied Arts specializing in Graphic Design, She made her debut in the contemporary art world at the All-Girl exhibition “My Favorite Things 5” 2021- with Me Too piece which tackled the theme of sexual harassment in Egypt. Within a few days, the artwork went viral on the internet, which contributed to sparking a debate around the issue of harassment in Egypt, where many Egyptian men and women took part. My artistic practice has been centered around coming to grasp the variegated elements that spontaneously trigger emotions. Not only that, I am curious as to how those emotions, in turn, unconsciously permeate our bodies. This phenomenon has been coined the somatic body or soma; a body that remembers and records trauma, much like a meticulously kept
archive of hurt.
