[Text available only in English] Dj, speaker, promoter and journalist, Andypop knows the Italian underground scene very well. After playing for years funk, electropop and rare grooves, he chooses the drum'n'bass in 1998, selecting it in all its forms (ragga-jungle, jump up, intelligent, deep, old school jungle) but also its darker, deep and hyperkinetic side. In recent years, he has explored the sounds of bass music, focusing in particular on future garage and dubstep.
He founded the project "Basstation", first Italian radio network devoted entirely to drum'n'bass, and he currently leads - every friday at 11:30 pm - a new show on Radio Popolare Roma ("Bassology"). On some of the most prestigious Italian urban magazines, he wrote several articles and interviews on deejing and street culture.
He currently works as journalist with DJ Mag Italy and ALIAS (Il Manifesto), for which he wrote articles, interviews and special dedicated to the international dance scene.
