ABSTRACT
FLxER was born in 2001 as a definitive tool to mix up expressive arts of a digital creative's collective. Today FLxER is an interactive free-software to mix audio/video/multimedia sources during live performances but also a web-community made of more than 14.000 people sharing their productions. FLxER is evolving and is a laboratory of creative experimentation for the developers.
WORKSHOP PROGRAM
FLxER Creative Team presents their FLxER project: software, art-community and connected artistic projects of the FLxER Creative Team. We explain a total overview on every possibility of multimedia mixing during a real time "live performance" simulation.
Then we introduce the FLxER.net community, which is an important reference for sharing and creative interactions between the 14.000 visual artists all around the world: a real "art community" that keeps FLxER library upgraded with over 6,000 movies, animations, sounds and concepts, shared in a Video Community.

- FLxER Team was born in 2001 around the developing of FLxER software born from the idea of using a computer in order to realise a live video performance, similarly to what was already happening in the electronic music production/performance.
Since none of the expensive consumer video software available in the market did allow to perform in real time, the solution was to independently design and develop an application able to solve this problem.
