My name is Elena Juárez, a visual and new media artist based in Madrid.

I create visuals, interactive and generative graphics, interactive installations for musicians, dance and theatre companies, artists, designers and arts institutions.

My work as a visual artist is driven by the motivation to illuminate dark spaces (both real and unreal) by changing the perspective of space, breaking the conventional patterns of the viewer. l love geometric compositions and abstract narratives in which sound is intimately related to the parameters programmed through live creation. I develop digital programming techniques where sound is seen and the image is heard.

My background is related with Fine Arts, specialized in visual media, passionate about innovative experimental and digital technologies applied to the performance and installations. Wide expertise in live video and mapping.

I am also passionate about teaching as a professor in technology and interactivity at IED Madrid and make different talks, courses and workshops in different spaces and institutions as Medialab-Prado, Fundación Telefónica, Matadero Madrid
