Piotr Tolmachov (Talmachou)
Born on 17.01.1974 in Vitebsk, USSR (Belarus)
In 1995, graduated from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, speciality “Automated Information Processing Systems”, with the specialization in “Intelligence Systems”.
In the period from 1995 to 1999 was a post-graduate student of Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, specializing in “Intelligence Systems”.
In 1999 moved to Belgium Antwerp to join a team of software developers at AGFA.
Until now, work as software and web developer for different companies and organisations including AGFA, Toyota, Belgium POST, European Commission etc.
In 2011 graduated from atelier ‘Sound Design’ at Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp (KASKA).
As artist participated in different projects related to sound: travelling artistic residences, sound installations, sound compositions for dance performances, solo projects, collaborations with jazz musicians etc
Has particular interest in restoration, modification, modification of old soviet analogue synthesizers to be able to control them and create moving, kinetic sound surfaces full of electricity.
