Relaxer is an A/V performance created by SMET, Turin's School of Electronic Music in Turin's Conservatory. It takes inspiration from the homonym movie, where an anxiety-provoking atmosphere is built around a Pac-Man obsessed videogamer. Therefore the performance is built of electroacoustic elements make long clustered drones interrupted by broken beats, with a big wireframed Pac-Man floating in the space.
SMET is an electro-acoustic music collective of five students who met in Turin conservatory in 2017 attending the homonym Turin Electronic Music School (SMET) class. The project is built around experimentation and merging of different electronic music aesthetics and finds its roots in the kaleidoscopically different backgrounds of its members.
