Ivo Ivanov (a.k.a. YvesO) was born in 1983 in Sofia, Bulgaria. While in western Europe, he began working in the field of classical Shakespearean theatre where he found his interest in applying new media approaches into performance art. After more than 10 years of DJing experience and sound manipulation, he started working in the field of video and began experimenting with VJing. He is also interested in collaborating with other artists and understanding their workflow. In his works he mostly explores the links between text, sound, visuals, performance and the processes between them.
After returning home to Bulgaria, he started working with InterSpace in the organisation of the Upgrade! Sofia local and international event. Co-manager of the first independent art space in Sofia - Studio Dauhaus, which after its demolition became a nomadic platform for contemporary art and independent culture and is still active to this day. He is also the organiser of Sofia Underground International Performance Art Festival.
