[Text available only in English] An intensive 6-hour workshop entirely dedicated to Video Mapping techniques, from the project idea to the final realization, taught by VJ Eletroiman of Darkligth Studio.
The workshop guides participants through every step of the video mapping process: technical study, optical principles, projector management, lux calculations, blueprints, 2D and 3D modelling, as well as the integration of music and sound effects.
During the workshop, participants learn how to measure and analyze a target surface, construct detailed 2D and 3D models, and create both audio and video content to “map” onto the architecture. By controlling light, color, and surface volume, video mapping alters the perception of space, transforming its very nature and the way it is experienced.
The creation of a final product to be presented to the public during the project’s concluding evenings is included.
What you learn
Who it is for
The workshop is designed for VJs, visual artists, designers, and multimedia performers who want to acquire practical skills in video mapping and apply them in live performances, installations, or large-scale events. No advanced prior knowledge is required, but familiarity with visual software is helpful.
Format and duration
📍 In person
⏱️ 6 hours total – divided into 2 sessions
Personal setup recommended: laptop + mapping software (MadMapper, Resolume or equivalent)
Optional: MIDI controller or external hardware
Language: ENGLISH
