The "Morocco Remix" is an updated and remixed version of the AV performance “Morocco”. Premiered at Iklectik, London, in 2015 and presented at LPM in the same year, it stands as my most well-received AV project.
"Morocco" is a road-trip captured through impressions, memories, and amusing anecdotes, employing hand-drawn animations, pattern drawings, and video footages. All theses elements synchronized with hypnotic rhythms of the music added with movements of patterns and colours, embark the audience on an unique journey.
Additionally, "Morocco Remix" incorporates live visuals initially created for the online events "North Africa & Middle East Livestream Special I and II," streamed by University of Tropical Sounds and Passport in June and October 2020.
This updated version will introduces new elements to enhance the overall experience.
The soundtrack is a recorded DJ set, a collaboration with Ekaydub, a Moroccan DJ residing in London, expert in Moroccan house and electronic music from North Africa.
The project draws inspiration from multiple visits to Morocco, contributing to its ongoing creative evolution.
