CENART – CENTRO NACIONAL DE LAS ARTES
The “Centro Nacional de las Artes”, is one of the largest cultural complexes in the city of Mexico and one of the most important art centers at worldwide. Here are gathered most of schools of the National Institute of Fine Arts like the School of Art “Esmeralda”, the National School of Dance, the National Conservatory of Music, the National School of Performing Arts and the Film Training Center in a set that would improve the facilities of each school and create a showcase of their activities with the construction of various auditoriums, theaters, exhibition spaces, libraries, theaters and concert halls that would become a landmark of the art produced internationally in Mexico.

INSIDE:

1. PLAZA DE LAS ARTES
It is an outdoor forum with capacity for 1,500 spectators. The scenario is covered by a plastic Velaria. In this square have been art activities for young people, with a view to creating new audiences.

2. FORO DE LAS ARTES
Dedicated groups and artists in theater, dance and interdisciplinary, this forum presented annually seeking innovation projects at the scene. Most of the proposals presented are medium format and experimental. It can accommodate 96 people.

3. TEATRO DE LAS ARTES
The extensive functionality of this scenario has allowed to host various seasons of theater and dance performances, and
musical, operatic and interdisciplinary by prestigious artists and national and international companies. It occupies an area of 4.945 meters square and has a capacity for 606 spectators. Has sufficient technical resources to meet the needs of any stage performance, including a variable acoustic system and a design that allows you to create various lighting conditions.

6. AULA MAGNA “José Vasconcelos”
By architect Ricardo Legorreta and tiled façade was designed by visual artist Vicente Rojo. It has a capacity to accommodate 141 spectators. It held an academic activities, mostly as lectures, courses and seminars, as well as advocacy and cultural dissemination of national and international.

7. GALERIA AB
The Gallery A / B is located opposite the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance. It is a space dedicated to the exhibition of various art projects and new technologies in the process of research and experimentation. One of its main objectives is to make publicly available the processes of each project to link with new technologies from a didactic approach
