im a visual artist currently based in rotterdam.
i studied audio-visual arts and later media and technology - also in an art school.
my previous work was primarily revolving around still images.

i was exploring image and visual culture within the online and digital domains. working with diverse media and software. Past year i have been more focused on video-editing and more recently i have been looking into VJ-ing as a new form that can allow me to communicate my visual language more freely and fluently. for now im exploring Resolute Arena as a tool.

my artist name is a homage to electronic musician Burial who's work was a source of inspiration for me throughout the years. i wanted to make visual works that have the same feel and emotional resonance as burial's music. beautiful yet always raw. emotional but never sentimental. (one day i wanna write a proper text about his work)
few years back when i graduated from my masters and left the 'art-bubble' i had a period when i questioned my artistic practice and my relation to art. uninspired and wanting a change, i began editing short videos on Burial's music since it was the only thing that gave me the pleasure and playfulness that every creative person wants. shortly after i opened my youtube channel
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn4nBQq7UFd8pVbWl9RUzzA
since then iv been slowly getting into the field of visual art that is connected to music, including to festivals and parties. i have worked with sound designers and made installation for few festivals and still continuing my editing practice.
