As a VJ and Projection Artist, Carla has mapped video art to sculptures and screens at festivals, for theatre productions and most recently as part of a creative residency at ACMI in Melbourne. As a result of her time spent studying experimental art in a dark Icelandic winter, Carla became fascinated by light sensitivity and the effect of sensory overload and infinite space on the body. The night sky continuously inspires her visuals and live performances as she attempts to create immersive, evocative and surreal worlds for audiences under the moniker ‘ASTERISM'.
