Dowse is a Privacy Hub for the Internet of Things
is developed by dyne.org in free and open source way. It allows to perceive and affect all devices in the local sphere and their behavior. Dowse transfers traffic patterns, device activities and exchanges with the net into Open Sound Control events and data flows, exposing them to anyone in the LAN to represent them, effect them, create visuals or audible installations that are able to bring those events to the senses in the right way.
Scope of the workshop is to open this early stage of design to hackers and artists to play with it.
In the talk we will present the results of the workshop and chat with the audience about sensing this peculiar type of invisible world that more and more is expanding around us.
