In this AV performance Michal Mitro aka plankton vs flying animal revives Luigi Rusolo's Noise manifesto. He utilises light reactive custom built / hacked synthesisers in combination with light morse code to translate the manifesto first into light and through that to sound - rather noisy one. This way, the circle is perfect and manifesto becomes noise itself, enhanced with its very own aesthetic and philosophical meaning. Performance will be accompanied by "morse-mapped" projection.
- Michal Mitro (1989, Slovakia) is conceptual artist, composer and performer working across wide field of media. Coming from Social Sciences background he aims to doubt and discuss the status quo of the “naturally given”, “normal”, and “traditionally right”. He focuses his attention on nuances of every day life that, granted their ordinariness and omnipresence, cease to attract any interest and critical thought and are widely but silently accepted.
