"Sacred Geometry” is a video mapping developed for the LPM Mapping Contest. The narrative of the mapping works with the concepts of contradiction: organic and geometric, light and darkness, divinity and phisical representation.
For the “Sacred Geometry”, we have done an research on the work of mathematicians and important philosophers of the history and also about the development of geometrical theories.
In the discipline of geometry, we can distinguish components such as the plane, the point, the straight line, the curve, the broken, the surface, the segment and others from whose combination all the geometric geometries are born.
For this proposal we have chosen the triangles as basic form to create visual structures. The triangles are one of the most important and used symbols in Geometry. Of all the geometric symbols in any civilization and culture, the triangle is one of the most known, powerful and versatile.
The triangle is the first form that can be drawn, using only three straight lines. The triangle is not formed by any curved line. It forms a closed inner space that we can not obtain if we only had two straight lines. For this reason, in the world of the two dimensions, the triangle represents the firstborn figure, just like the pyramid in the world of the three dimensions.
It is associated with the number three, expressing divinity and representing all the concepts that are formed by three components.
