Tschänz is a computer scientist based in Tübingen, Germany, born in Karlsruhe in 1991. He studied Media Informatics with strong focus on Visual Computing, Computer Vision and Computer Graphics and later on Machine Learning, respectively Neural Networks.
In all his studies, the focus always laid on visually appealing content generation, driven by the beauty of mathematical concepts. After experimenting around with generative visualizations, he quickly changed focus on realtime audio-reactive projections in an interdisciplinary context.
Starting as VJ in a club he visually appeased the audience with video compositions that get distorted by a concatenation of effects which parameters are mainly driven by the frequency spectrum of the played music, developing his own style far away from using pre-rendered loops. HipHop, Dub, Techno, House, 70s Funk & Disco are only a few genres he composed to.
Driven by his academical studies on neural networks he developed his own audio reactive artificial content. Eager to explore this new mathematical realm of possibilites, he dives into the technology and abstracts it away from an academic context into an artistic one, that makes people curious about it.
