[Text available only in English] "The Scroll" is a single screen audio visual live performance inspired by the confused and conflicted relationship we have with mobile devices. The compulsion of mindless scrolling; an act which allows the user to consume hug volumes of data and information, though rarely gaining knowledge or satisfaction. This work presents an alternative digital space. "The Scroll" is an endless stream of abstract forms and sounds slowly involving and drawing in the viewer. Blending darkness and explosive colour with repetitive driving pulses, drones and meandering echoes to generate a hypnotic journey through confused and trapped minds, allowing space for imaginations to develop and expand.
Visual and sound are produced simultaneously using generative patches and modular synthesis, bound together with a variety of software and hardware techniques.
The Scroll was premiered in late September 2018 at Darkroom Festival based at Deptford Cinema, part of the annual Deptford X Festival
