He studied Sculpture and Media Art at HfG Offenbach, holds an MA in sculpture from the Royal College of Art in London, and learned a lot about experimental electronics and circuit bending in the Internet.
His practice covers a wide range of expressions: objects and installations, music, performance, video, immersive experiences and theatre. Whatever feels necessary at any given time.
His performative alter ego der Warst uses his colourful homebuilt laboratory of telephones and stuff [Warstware]to create intense improvised live performances with his very own flavour of pretty extreme music somewhere in between Sound Art and Club Culture. When necessary, he adds a visual layer, creating live glitchscapes video with circuit bent video hardware.
He teaches workshops and gives talks about subject matters such as experimental media electronics and circuit bending, techniques of improvisation, Trashhacking, Media sculpture, Glitchgaming, etc.
