Granular Cycling is a extended live version of concept album 'Hello World' (mixture of classical dub&rock psychedelia influenced IDM/glitch) released by Section 27 netlabel.
Being experienced in experimental drumming, digital sound production and vj-ing ODAIBE live set is a link beetwen those fields by using innovative fusion of electronic drum kit + iPad to manipulate sounds&visuals by real time drummer, not only sequencer.
Granular Cycling is unique as a combination of live electronic music vs. rock jam with experimental visualization based on generative abstract animations, vhs cuts, self-made video productions. It's also a fresh look on Electronic Drum Kit - instrument despised in contemporary art, mainly associated with 80's synth pop and wedding bands still remians unused as a demanding MIDI control surface in AV experiments.
Granular Recycling make use of electronic drum kit powerfull potential in sound manipulation and AV control.
Consistency and drama of this show depends on precision of velocity meditations & improvisations in a freedom of rock expression.
