The WORKSHOP is focused on the use of KINECT and ARDUINO with VVVV, It's oriented at the creation of new interfaces and to use/send the elaborated data in other softwares for djing vjing or whatever you'd likethrough midi and osc.
Topics:
Introduction to kinect technology
Detailed overview of data plugin ofVVVV node based on OPENNI/NITE framework.
Visualization and elaboration of data inside vvvv.
Data communication with others pc & software with OSC protocol
Interactive applications examples
Introduction to Arduino technology.
Serial communication between VVVV & Arduino.
Interactive applications examples.
Developing students projects.
EQUIPMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
basic knowledge of vvvv (Spreads, 3Dsystem)
A computer with Windows operative system not emulated (Bootcamp YES / Parallels,Wmware, etc NO).
Partecipants are welcome to bring their own KINECT and ARDUINO and any other software/device/toy/elettronic.
The workshop is 4 sessions, about 2 hours each. It is held in italian and accept no more than 26 participants.
