The Meta:p(F)ace is an interactive diptych live-art multimedia performance/installation that takes place simultaneously across two adjoining spaces. The Meta:p(F)ace explores the notion of the proximity. Through the continuous dialogue between the self and the exterior the performance is an emotional journey towards a relief of anxiety and fear.
The necessity of communication, sharing, care, and honesty together with the perpetual quest for the “self” define a dialectic relationship between “in” and “out” - “I” and “They”. Through a mixture of live and pre recorded video imagery, sound design and text, Meta:p(F)ace is aiming to profile an autobiographical synesthetic landscape and thus create an emotionally affective environment in which unconscious parameters of the performer will be unified with audience’s emotional state.
Body, images, sounds, and text are part of a unique performance where all elements can be experienced separately, or synthesized; directing the audience into different perceptual states. The audience is free to move between the two spaces deciding the way it will experience the performance according to his/her emotions and interest.
