A sequence of tableaux combined with dreamlike images suggests the feelings and thoughts of a woman about her role in the modern society. A consideration on what being a woman today means if you don't recognize yourself anymore in the roles culturally imposed, i.e mother, wife, seductress, incubator. The perception of these roles, considered by many women as compulsory, breeds a conscious or unconscious uneasiness; and the prolongation of them reasserts and confirms a patriarchal society responsible of conflicts and discomfort.
Like Vivian Leigh in A Streetcar Named Desire by Elia Kazan, today many women still think that the only way to realize themselves is to become what society expects from them and are unable to free themselves from this strain.

A 15 minute performance with visuals and mapping, enhanced with the work of art of the sculptor Mimmo Pesce, who in the '70s gave an important contribution to the developing of the performative arts in Italy.
