Irina Sales Grade graduated in Architecture at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (2007). She began working in video-jamming in 2006, and in 2007 she created the project Receyecler, dedicated to the production of image and video content for cultural events. Receyecler’s imagery wavers between architecture and video art, and establishes a communication interface with music. The project addresses video at once as a creative object, an element in sound creation, and an abstract object to be handled in real time. Receyecler thus “recycles” video sequences from a wide range of sources, recalling past works and artists. Receyecler therefore intends to address the most diverse areas of practice.
