Equal parts musical act and video experiment, Telesonic 9000 - the Berlin-formed, Midwest based solo project of drummer and producer Dominick Gray - weaves together genre-bending music with kinetic mashups of mid century archive films to channel ideas connecting time, technology, and the human experience. The ingredients which make up Telesonic 9000’s DNA - art rock explorations, electropop synth hooks, and impressionistic postwar imagery - produce an inventive brand of multimedia that is as retro-savvy as it is forward looking. This serves as the basis for a type of abstract storytelling that captures an essential feeling about our relationship to time, and how the past’s visions of tomorrow impact today.
