Iqbit electronic experimental set plus XX+XY video comment BO-ZA SET is a brand new live set by IQbit.

Half of it is pre programmed and half is pure improvisation of sound modules mixing ambient frequencies with broken beats.

Matrix driven sounds generated by the NORD Lead synthesizer meet freeware plugins designed by www.smartelectronix.com.

All prerecorded sounds are excerpts from Studio improvisation and are the initial building blocks that make up this set. Sounds generated by the synthesizer are elaborated with a non-conventional use of effects then processed through applications that modify the algorithms of the binary code that describes the sound.

This technique produces a radical change of sound and rhythm in a process of generation/destruction.

The applications used during the set incorporate also the modulation of aleatory functions. This makes for a singular symbiosis between the interpreter and the instrument.

Programming precise sequences and living open space to random algorithms the experience of creativity is shared with a form of artificial intelligence.

The final musical product is therefore fruit of a conscious hybrid between man and machine.

At the same time it's a music that rhythmically involves the listener, not limiting itself to being purely conceptual.

References to rhythmic solutions of funky, jazz and other genres stimulate an emotional response, often absent in so called experimental music.
