This workshop requires no previous knowledge of vvvv, and it will be held in english (i speak italian though).
We will start with the basics and we will move towards creating a first attempt of realtime soundreactive visuals.
The workshop will be held all four days of LPM.
The first session will be free access, while the three successive sessions will be open to the first 25 subscribers and the fee is fixed at 50,00 euro.
Thursday May 28 (2 hours):
-Introduction to vvvv and presentation of most relevant AV works realized with this tool.
Friday May 29 (3 hours):
-Software installation and a brief introduction to the use of the vvvv website.
-Introduction to the architecture and the interface of the software
-IOBoxes, Inspektor and Spreads
Saturday May 30 (3 hours):
-Introduction to the DirectX rendering (meshes, shaders and camera)
-Use of audio streams as sources of data (audio analysis using FFT, RMS and ScopeSpread)
Sunday May 31 (3 hours):
-Step by step creation of a basic realtime 3d soundreactive application

- Pedro Mari ( born 1986 in Salerno, Italy ), also known as defetto, is a visual artist focused on generative systems.
Most of his work uses abstract shapes and a deep study of colour. He studied in Milan ( diploma project can be found online at http://de.posi.to/wiiwiiwiiwii ) and currently lives and works in London as a freelance.
