L’Aubaine (Laurie Bender) from Geneva, started performing live visuals in 2005 while studying a master in Digital Arts in Barcelona. From her study she got interested in real-time performances and exploring different forms of narrative.

Her VJ sets and live mapping brings you on a seamless visual journey, creating composition live like a painter on her canvas. She crafted her unique style over the years, mixing analogue and digital techniques. Her work is organic, graphical, painterly and interconnected with the music. In her AV narrative or Live Cinema projects, she expresses socio/politics/psychological concerns.

L’Aubaine played in several festivals, events, club nights in Europe such as  Art Vision VJ contest (Moscow), Junction 2 Launch Day (Tobacco Dock, London), le Zoo/Usine (Geneva), Splice festival (London), Genius Loci Weimar (DE), Shambala festival (UK),  etc.. and has collaborated with producers/musicians such as Kate Simko & the London Electronic Orchestra, Orka, Diarmo, Fernando Lagreca, etc…

She was part of VJ London team from 2015 to organise the regular Meet-up & Showcase until 2019.
