Geagrind utilizes his musical repertoir to the fullest, using analog synthesizers to create a rich and layered drone sound that is carried by heavy drums, pierced by his guitar and drenched in feeling by washed out distant screams.
His music is augmented with Tschänz' video feedback which is happening on two fronts: In the real world and on the software side, enabling a completely audio-reactive and multi-layered filter landscape.
Tschänz is a computer scientist based in Tübingen, Germany, born in Karlsruhe in 1991. He studied Media Informatics with strong focus on Visual Computing, Computer Vision and Computer Graphics and later on Machine Learning, respectively Neural Networks.
In all his studies, the focus always laid on visually appealing content generation, driven by the beauty of mathematical concepts. After experimenting around with generative visualizations, he quickly changed focus on realtime audio-reactive projections in an interdisciplinary context.

Gearind & Tschänz is an audio-visual duo that created many immersive, danceable live performances. They usually play in clubs and have special focus on showing the audience how music emerges from an idea to a melody to a full-fledged rhythmic experience that carries you away.
