Jamila Campagna (Latina, 08/01/1987)
Art historian, visual artist and independent curator. Since 2008 she has been carrying out an artistic research based on mixing media and historical/archive studies. Her work has been exhibited in national and international contexts, creating curatorial and artistic projects for museums, cultural institutions and festivals, among them Macro museum (Roma), MAACK museum (Casacalenda), MUG museum (Latina), MadXI (Latina), MuSA (Pietrasanta), Art Studio La Marina (Pietrasanta), The Curators (Paris), LPM by Flxer, Digitalatium and Visual Sound by Fotonica (Roma), Magnetica by Temporeale (Firenze), LIGHT YEAR (New York).
Within the interdisciplinary and multimedia research, she works on video experimentation, where video is intended both as a form of documentation and as a conceptual and aesthetic matter. She produces original videos and also uses found foutage samples mixed together in her visual performances. Main themes of her artistic production are nature, ecological sights and historic materials.
Since 2014 she is co-founder and creative director of IL MURO creative collective and magazine (www.ilmuromagazine.com) which promotes Visual Culture with an interdisciplinar approach.
Since 2023 she is Ambassadress of Third Paradise and Statodellarte projects for Michelangelo Pistoletto.
