Choice and its absence is MIDI_be_gentle's new audiovisual performance. The title emerges from an ongoing dialogue between human choice and machine choice, the latter pushed to the edge of forced automation. The visuals are built around blob tracking, leaning into a spectacle that chases and distorts the bodies on stage. The sound begins in a calm, ambient space before shifting into heavy, powerful territory, letting the machine impose its drifts while improvisation tries to reclaim control or to be carried by it.
