Some types of music don't speak. They don't tell a story. They don't convey a message. They are the message. They don't convey information: they create a condition. A condition of presence. This type of music carries us on a wave of the present. It doesn't invite us to interpret,
but to enter. It doesn't ask us to understand, but to inhabit an experience. In that experience, there is no longer a clear separation between the listener, the player, and the environment in which the sound occurs.
