Palm Simulator is my fourth musical video game project and the most ambitious one. It is an interactive product built in Unreal Engine 5 that acts as a collection of interactive musical instruments, allowing you to procedurally generate music and visuals while composing a rhythm, using interactivity as a creative vehicle. By controlling a coconut, you can trigger sequencers or play bizarre instruments live, both in a performative setting and as an interactive installation. The project is connected to a broader vision that explores themes such as separation, professional growth (a coconut that dreams of becoming a palm tree), and copyright. It pioneers the logics of Unreal Engine’s MetaSound framework and the ways a game engine can be used to create actual musical instruments.

- Born in Turin, Italy, in 1984. At the age of 6 he began drawing and writing on the computer, spent his adolescence drawing comics and graduated in cinematography from the Fellini Institute in Turin. Here he discovered his passion for visual art, founded the Surpop movement together with Andrea Marchese and devoted himself to painting, writing and music making for more than ten years.
