Analog Rotoscope workshop

Analog Rotoscope is a hands-on workshop where a short video is taken apart, frame by frame, and given a whole new life through painting, drawing, collage, and whatever analog media calls to you. Each still image is transformed, and then set back into motion, reborn as a new stop-motion animation.
The workshop can be given in English, Spanish, or Italian.
Participants should bring:
A laptop with video editing software installed (Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve)
A smartphone with a camera
A small tripod for the smartphone (ideally)
Their own art materials for the technique they want to use — for example, oil paint and brushes, charcoal, or other media of their choice

Author
Carolina Fabiani is a painter and character animator based in Mexico City. She has worked as a senior character animator on international feature films and series, and as an animation director on commercials and short films. She has also taught animation across Chile and Mexico, and her work moves between painting and animation, exploring the handmade within the digital.
