Periferica - Art is Act is an interactive and digital Arts Festival organized by Fusolab that will take place in Rome from the 16th to the 21th of february 2015.
Periferica Festival - Act is Art wants to build new visions and collective narratives of urban reality using both traditional media and interactive and collaborative tools which promote the interconnection between the territory and the Network. Thus Periferica aims to be the interface between territory and city, between local and global, between artist and audience, between real and virtual through the hybridization and the mash-up of plural artistic languages and diversified forms of expression with the concept of interaction as glue and thread.
We can borrow the same concept in the city which takes shape, lives and grows if and only if its inhabitants are involved in its construction and its development: and it is the image of the urban landscape as a creature that comes to life thanks to the interaction with those who live there that suggested us the name of this first edition of the festival called Urban Breaths, focused on art as a harbinger of new air and new life for the city.
