Z vector is the world's first professional level VJ'ing (Video Jockey) tool specifically designed for depth sensing devices such as the Microsoft Kinect or the Asus Xtion Pro Live. The software allows the visual artist to easily create and recreate interesting 3D visuals based on live or prerecorded depth camera footage. The artist is given full real-time control over the rendering and camera angles of the visualizations, while the actual visuals are always rendered in near real-time by the CPU and the GPU.

Feature list (as of v0.75): 3D video mixing (as opposed to 2D), multiple sensor support, "virtual camera modes", multiple tracking modes (camera centering on single or multiple persons), multiple drawing modes (vectors, polygons, etc.), sound and MIDI clock synchronization, distortion effects, animatable GLSL shaders, an integrated GLSL shader editor, GPU acceleration, fully scalable final output, stereo rendering (side-by-side, analyglyphic), presets and so on.

The final version (v1) will also include: depth camera clip recording, playback and looping, 2D image and video playback and mapping, support for non-realtime rendering (video bouncing) as well as full support for our existing software NI mate (gesture based control of Z Vector features).
