Yochanan Rauert aka. VJ Yochee [ˈviːdʒeɪ ˈʤɔkɪ] aka. 7dex, member of the Morons of Motion, is a visual artist living in Münster, Germany. He has studied german language, politics and anthropology and has an artistic family background. As a teenager he started playing around with image editing programs and began to solder gadgets like a synthesizer and to experiment with control interfaces. Making movies with a friend in 1998 and video presentations alongside cabaret shows at his dad's café brought him to live mix videos around 2002.

Since he's messing with the full range of visual arts and techniques, from analog to digital: Story telling visuals based on VHS-Tape alongside Northern Soul and Punkrock concerts and conventional VJing at Drum and Bass, Dubstep, HipHop and Techno parties with digital eqipment. At some point got back to the old tech and circuit bent everything do have an analog audio-visual synthesizer and to do AV performances with it. Then moved forth to projection mapping to fit everything onto the screens and walls. Recently trying to do generative visuals with VVVV.

With solid knowledge in light design, theater technology and live visuals 7dex has been organizing many events in his town and region. First media arts installation with analog video and sound devices built by himself in 2008, festivals since 2009. Member of SHINY TOYS - festival for audiovisual experiments - since 2012 (Mülheim an der Ruhr). Blogging on www.visual-society.com about visual arts and equipment since 2011.
